Robotic Welding

Many of the sub-assemblies and assemblies welded at Penn Metal Fabricators, Inc. are welded using state of the art robotic equipment which allows us to accurately place high quality welds.

Two of the Robots are Motoman K-series Robots using Motoman MRC controllers and Hobart MIG Welding power supplies. These two robots have a repeatability of .OO2in. They also use two headstock-tailstock rotary positioners on each robot which accurately position the parts to be welded.

Another one of our robots is a Motoman LI0W robot which has been production welding sub-assemblies with a high degree of accuracy at Penn Metals for over 15 years.
