Metal Bending - CNC Break Forming

Penn Metal Fabricators, Inc. has 9 presses that are used for forming and bending. They range in size from a 56 ton press to a 240 ton press.

One of the presses is a PPEB 240 ton 10' LVD Brake Press uses a Cadman CNC controller with Easy-Form laser system to control bend locations and angles with outstanding repeatability.

metal bendingAnother Press is also a LVD Brake Press which has a 7 axis CNC control and a 14' bed. This brake press is capable of bending 12' of 3/8" thick steel. A third press is a Mitsubishi 4' 56 ton Brake Press which features a ram repeatability of .00001in. This press has 6 CNC controlled axis'.

The CNC controls can be set to bend many bends on one part without changing the bending dies.

The remaining 5 presses use shop made dies to perform repeated operations on the parts.
