Robotic Welding

Robotic welding: this is a newly developed area in metal fabrication compared to traditional welding. Of course both bond two or more pieces of metal together, but unlike MIG or TIG welding, robotic welding utilizes computers and programs to repeatedly make the same weld over an over again.

Robotic welding can place the same weld or a series of programmed welds in a more consistent and uniform method over hand welding. When accuracy of welds and multiple products that require consistent welds are needed, robotic welds are the superior welding method.

In addition to the robotic weld arm the platen or table that holds the metal part or stock called a headstock tail stock rotary positioner can hold the part to be welded in an accurate position over and over again. This in combination with the programming of the robotic weld arm ensure a highly accurate weld which can be programmed to repeat unlimited times. Robotic welding can also decrease production time because the positioning is accurate and consistent over welding by hand.
